Allie Emerson, never imagined that she’d end up divorced and raising two teenage daughters by herself. Between juggling her role as a parent and working to pay the bills, she has no time to think about dating. Until she hears that a local carpenter, Braden Fox, is looking for a secretary that is. When they were in high school, Allie did everything in her power to deny that there were sparks between her and Braden, maybe now she can explore those feelings.
Braden heard what Terrance did to Allie and the girls, and had been planning to stop by and see how she was doing. But before he gets around to it, Allie shows up at his shop and inquires about the job opening. Her visit reignites the feelings that Braden used to have for her; but old feelings of resentment re-emerge as well. Allie did choose Terrance over him, after all.
Will the experiences of his adolescence be too much for him to get over, or will he be able to smooth out the past to create a future with Allie?
